Most colonial flooring was originally cut from Pine trees. At Carlisle, we offer three species of Pine, including the Eastern White Pine that was often originally used for many colonial floors. We also offer hardwood species that can be fashioned to reproduce a colonial look, including Ash, Birch, Brown Maple, Cherry, Hickory, Red Oak, Walnut, White Maple, White Oak and Rift & Quartersawn White Oak.

Yes. Engineered floorboards are made with multiple layers of material to produce a core that is more resistant to temperature changes, humidity and moisture.
