Dark Herringbone Adds Texture to The Oaklander Hotel Design

When it came to choosing the flooring for this new build in the heart of Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood, TwoFold Studio knew they wanted a dark floor that would ground these spaces as well as add texture to the large open areas.  Using a more traditional pattern, specifically Herringbone, with a custom color created an interesting contrast with the rest of the design which was crisp and modern.  White Oak was the perfect choice for its durability and to create the overall look they envisioned.  Click here to learn more about TwoFold Design and the design decisions that were made in this landmark project.
