Originally a sign of affluence in the earliest European manors and castles, parquet floor designs continue to bring a sense of luxury and stunning beauty to any room.
At Carlisle Wide Plank Floors, we offer a nice selection of parquet wood flooring in a variety of woods and patterns. An exercise in tailored luxury, these floors are built to specification in our custom shop and are available in pre-assembled sections or in individual pieces.
We also offer two parquet flooring collections – the Studio Herringbone and Manhattan Herringbone – which are made from engineered White Oak or engineered Rift and Quartersawn White Oak and can help to create a visually stunning backdrop for a contemporary or traditional space.
Parquet flooring from Carlisle is available in several different wood floor patterns.
A Herringbone pattern uses rectangular planks cut at the same length and laid out in a zigzag pattern, with one end abutting another board at a right angle. The effect of herringbone parquet flooring is a sense of overlapping planks and angles that provides a great deal of visual interest.
A Chevron pattern also uses a zigzag pattern, but the ends of each board are cut at an angle so that the pattern has a prominent V-shape. The boards in a Chevron pattern can be installed at any angle by adjusting the angle at which the ends of boards are cut.
A Versailles pattern is inspired by the floors in the Palace of Versailles of the French King, Louis XIV. This intricate design uses boards of various lengths to create a woven appearance that is instantly recognizable.

Floors can be preassembled in sections or in individual pieces, depending on the style of parquet flooring you choose.
