Footworn Hickory in a Private Chicago Country Club

OKW Architects designed an architectural masterpiece for the Medinah Country Club’s Member’s Bar. They chose Carlisle’s Footworn Hickory as the flooring; handcrafted by craftsmen with a passion for fine woodwork spanning many generations. The 3″ wide Chevron planks set against 8″ wide planks, and finished with a dark Antique Farmhouse stain, exude a deep color and visual texture that perfectly complements the arched ceilings, large fireplace, and historical charm of this prestigious club. To further enrich the design aesthetic, Chevron planks were installed on several walls. Accompanied by its rich history of families coming together through generations, this distinctive space has become an architectural experience to be treasured.
